Ahmedinejad: More "Earthquake" of 1979

In honour of the monkey's victory in the land of pistachios and hairy women with fake noses, I present to you a vintage video of Arafat's visit to post-revolution Tehran in 1979. I especially enjoyed the kisses at the end.

A translation of the Rais' speech:

Would anyone believe that the Palestinian revolution would make its way to Iran? X 2
Would anyone believe this talk? X 3
But now everyone acknowledges that there's a new era
"New Era" (in English)
The other day (Menachem) Begin said that the era of darkness for Israel has just begun
Moshe Dayan seconded him by saying that an earthquake has begun and it will reach Israel
And I tell him Yes, an earthquake has begun, an earthquake that shall reach all the collaborators and colonists in the region.
And so began the light. A light in this region. In what they call the region of darkness, but it's light that we have, a light that shall cover the region.
Whether they like it or not, this is the will of history, the will of destiny. the will of God, the will of the Leb-- (oops), the the the Iranians.
The will of the Lebanese people in the south, which succumbs to the missiles from Israeli jets and artillery. And yesterday as Begin and Weizmann threaten the Palestinian revolution and the Lebanese, we tell him than a new era has begun, via this blessed revolution, which represents a light.

All present recite from the Quran:

'Do not consider those who were killed for the sake of Allah dead; no, they are alive, and receive sustenance from their Lord.'

'Truth has (now) arrived, and falsehood perished: for falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish'

(something is said in Farsi that I cannot translate)

All present chant the PLO motto:

'Revolution, revolution, until victory' X 12

Arafat kisses the man to right on the mouth

Arafat grabs the jaw of the unsuspecting (hot!) bearded man to his left and kisses him on the mouth.

Yasser sure had a thing for kissing men on the mouth. Especially bearded ones.

And why are these people sitting in the dirt? Is it some bizzare ritual of homosexual affection I wasn't aware of? :)

Not as far as I know. Or maybe I was too young to have received the memo back then.. actually who are we kidding surely some of them would have loved a milky-skinned child dancing for them (I was blond for the first 3 years of my life, but it all fell off eventually and was replaced with velcro)

:))))

Gotta go, eggs and Bacon beckon ya Abu... (read in a homer simpson-esque voice: baaaaaaacon... :))))

Your people have velcro too? We must be related!!

I'd actually be curious to know who he was sitting with.
Though in 1979, with 'collaborators in the region' (read: Egyptians) all around, the PLO was at quite a low point - and willing to sit with anyone who would take the time...

zelzal means earthquake?

By the way, I think one of the guys there was Fidel Castro or something

Karen,
I'm telling you, I was a blond gerber baby once, and within a short time I morphed into a berber baby.. hehe :))

Mo,
yeah, I have a couple of revolutionary PLO songs from that era where Sadat isn't exactly praised.. :)

Nb,
Yes, Zelzal = earthquake.
and there's a guy who does resemble Fidel..

Hezbollah gives their rockets Arab names or the Persians do it themselves?

Nizo said...

no they're already known by Arabic names, although farsi contains many Arabic imported words and so it could be Farsi but originally Arabic.. Another example is the Fajr missile (meaning dawn)

Mmmmm... bacon...

Why in your view these monkeys decided to rig the elections? Let alone in such a grotesque way. After all, this Mousawi seems even less of a revolutionary than Khatami...

Nizo said...

maybe the pro-west victory in Lebanon made them nervous.. Anyway, I think it's a big mistake on their part. They could have used a break from Njad. We never know what happens behind the scenes in these countries.. it could even be personal, maybe Mousavi got cocky during the campaign and the establishment didn't want to make it too easy for him...
Again we may never know..

Yes. It sounds plausible. Something made them lose their cool. I agree that it was a big mistake. It may well become a fatal one. And yes, we may never know what it was...

Don't be disappointed. If we don't get another Indifadah, then we will get another rocket fire from the West Bank. Whatever it is, it will be annoying

Bibi represents not just himself but his consituency and Israel in general. Essentially, the muscular boar that is Israel was sleeping soundly when it was prodded by Obama.. The boar didn't really wake up, he just opened his eyes a little, let out a fart, and went back to sleep.

That fart was Bibi's speech.

It contains nothing new..

Demilitarized state? Sure, no problem, since when is Fatah agitating for the latest Stealth Bombers? Besides, they can barely afford batata, let alone bombers.

Then there's the Jewish state thing. The PLO already recognizes Israel and so implicitely turning the claim to pre-48 Palestine into one in theory rather than practice. So why rub salt in the wound and ask us to recognize it's a Jewish state? What next, you will ask us to recognize that we're a nation of incompetent monkeys? and still Israel won't be happy.. "Monkeys are intelligent, the Pals need to be downgraded to amoebas"..

The bottom line is that it was a very patronizing speech, and you know what, he can take the kindergartens and stuff them up his ass. But again, this isn't him, this is Israel. It doesn't want to leave the West Bank.. The status quo suits it just fine..

And you're afraid of an intifada?? With that Wall? and the west Bank which is in disparate enclaves??
please

I don't know why you started bashing this anonymous. He seems to be thinking quite along your lines. Unlike me for example

Mind you, I have people got killed ten meters from me. One of my friends went psycho after a suicide attack. Another one spent a month in a hospital. I have a bus I used to take to my job bombed twice in the span of week. Both time I missed it by 20 something minutes. I do mind to be annoyed so much

:D :D

Jerusalem is the only place that will be endangered.. via east jerusalemites.. the rest is closed off much tighter than any other time in history

Nobody said...

Well, it all happened when I lived in Jerusalem. But the West Bank is close. If they start shooting from there, no Iron Domes and David Slings will help...

Sure recognizing Israel entails loss of face. So will compromising over refugees, borders, Jerusalem etc. So will forfeiting any further claims for "ending the dispute" - קץ הסכסוך.

Bibi's fart effectively calls the Pal's bluff and is a skillful use of the Arabs' retarded honor-shame dynamics.

Aviv said...

Not that any of it will help of course - the new US admin will still push to continue peace-processing full steam ahead, with an iota of Arab goodwill manifested or without.

Frankly Aviv

Me too, I am missing the point of this recognition as a Jewish state. What is it supposed to mean? That the Arabs will take into consideration our demographics and stop making babies?

Nizo & co;

Did you guys expect bibi to suddenly become a dove?
While I am no bibi-fan (that's putting it mildly) I was positively surprised at the speech's explicitness and frankness. I think that the subtext is: "this is my opening position. Let's haggle". Aren't you guys supposed to be the masters of haggling?

Granted, his patronizing attitude was mighty annoying. But he is a middle-age-conservative-right-wing-upper-class-white-male, after all. Patronizing atitues are genetically coded into these guys.

I don't know why you Israelis are so focused on the Bibi speech. From my (admittedly Canadian) perspective, the shit is much more likely to come from south Lebanon than the West Bank if Khamenei decides to start a conflict to distract the world from the protests and to help him "find" traitors.
